ADVOCACY CHAIR

“Hmong language, culture, and traditions are changing and diverging in new ways. Hmong history is not properly told if told at all. The society that we live in praises itself as “the land of opportunity”, yet opportunities are not equally distributed. The Advocacy Chair actively works to promote awareness of social injustices and to revitalize “Hmong Identity” (language, history, culture, and traditions). We hope that dialogues on social justice and Hmong identity will push us to embrace what being Hmong means. This also includes representing and advocating for members regarding equity, diversity, inclusion, and welfare.”
